Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is an Romanian actor and TV host. She is best known for her role as the main character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. As the only daughter from Romanian acting star Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra entered showbiz early and landed up acting in lead roles on various TV dramas before she reached the age of 16. Following her highly acclaimed performance in the television film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went onto play more notable characters like Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge on Downfall. The film received nominations for an Oscar and received critical and commercial success. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex and The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films featuring the actress. Alexandra is involved in many noteworthy projects, both in the United States as well as internationally. These include British biographical film Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and the French historical miniseries Napoleon and many more. She was also part of the jury for the Transylvania International Film Festival, as well as at the Cannes Film Festival.
