Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is an Romanian actress and television presenter. She is best known for her role as the lead in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Born the only child to Romanian actress Valentin Platareu. Alexandra started her showbiz career in the early years of her life. By the time she reached the age of 16, Alexandra had landed prominent roles in a variety of TV dramas. After her critically acclaimed role in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went into other notable parts, including Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, in Downfall. Downfall won an Oscar and was a critical as well as commercial popularity. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were both nominated for Oscars. Alexandra has been involved in numerous important international and national projects over the years. This includes the British biographical Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and French historical miniseries Napoleon and many more. She was also in the jury panel of the Transylvania International Film Festival, and also at Cannes Film Festival.
